What was it like to be a member, and was it really all it’s cracked up to be? All these questions, and more, are sure to be answered in Investigation Discovery’s (ID) new docuseries Boy Band Confidential.

The docuseries is set to premiere on Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14 from 9-11 p.m. EST/PST. It will also be available to stream via HBO Max. According to a press release from Warner Bros., the docuseries will “reveal how the industry transformed young performers into marketable commodities while exposing untold stories of abuse, addiction, and financial manipulation.

The docuseries will feature cameos and testimonies from icons from the ’90s boy band scene including *NSYNC members Lance Bass, AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys, Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, Ashley Parker Angel of O-Town and Brad Fischetti of LFO, among others.

“Being in a boy band was one of the greatest experiences of my life but it also came with challenges we didn’t always understand at the time,” said executive producer of Boy Band Confidential and *NSYNC member Joey Fatone. “This project gave all of us a chance to reflect, to be honest, and to share what really happened behind the spotlight.” Fatone will also be offering his take throughout the docuseries.

Philo Watch for free on Philo

The best way to stream the docuseries is via Philo’s Bundle+ plan, which will run users $33 a month. This subscription gives users access to everything in Philo’s Essentials plan, 70+ must‑have live TV channels, 75,000+ on‑demand titles and a year of unlimited DVR, along with access to ID. Subscribers will also have access to HBO Max’s Basic plan with ads so they can stream the docuseries whenever they want. In short, this plan gives you access to two streaming libraries, saving users around $17 since you’re not buying subscriptions separately. Philo also offers users a seven-day free trial, so you can test out the bundle before deciding to subscribe.

Sling Watch on Sling Blue

Sling Blue is another option to watch the docuseries. The service costs $54.99 a month and includes 40-plus channels, including ID. With your subscription, you’ll have access to the boy band docuseries, along with all the live sports and news you could ever want. Unfortunately, Sling Blue does not have a free trial option.
